Transmutation

This project explores massing strategies for a waste-to-energy facility through material transformation. Starting with basic box massings shaped by equipment needs, a 3D model was printed and cast. Layers of cement and wax were poured at angles into the mold, with the wax later burned away, creating voids that reveal the interplay between solid and absence. This process of casting, layering, and subtraction reflects the project's broader themes—energy conversion, material reuse, and architectural adaptation—where destruction becomes an act of creation.
