Inverted Massing

This series reinterprets architectural massing through light, shadow, and photographic inversion. A 3D-printed PLA model serves as both subject and analytical tool, subverting traditional representation. Negative renderings emphasize volume, transparency, and spatial relationships, while high-contrast photography redefines solid and void, revealing new readings of depth and materiality. By merging digital fabrication with photographic analysis, this study reframes massing as a dynamic interplay of light, structure, and perception rather than a static form.
