Projected Architectures
This project transforms architecture into an optical device—an inhabitable camera obscura that captures, distorts, and projects its surroundings. Designed as an artist studio and gallery on Governors Island, the space becomes a shifting threshold where perception is continuously renegotiated.
In the final model, inverted projections of the site dissolve boundaries between interior and exterior. Light, movement, and time register as material forces, turning architecture into an ephemeral event—both fleeting and persistent.
